Meet Your Photographer
Hello there - it's so nice to meet you! My name is Jasmin Sewell and I am the owner and founder of J Sewell Photography, located here in the Niagara Region.
I started this business in 2019 and have since had the utmost privilege of getting to connect and create with so many wonderful clients and fellow artists. I am forever grateful for each of the opportunities I've been fortunate enough to have along the way thus far. I am always looking for ways to continue my growth and challenge myself when it comes to creating lasting images/trying new things.
Truth be told, I have always been the artistic type ever since I was a little girl. My artistic abilities and passions first arose as soon as I learned how to hold a pencil, as I spent the majority of my childhood and teen years getting lost in paintings and sketchbooks. I guess that you could say that art has always been in my bones - something that I found peace in and could get invested or even lost in for several hours. I have always found comfort and a sense of security in my art, which is one of the reasons I love photography as much as I do.
I first discovered my love for photography at the young age of 13, when I got my hands on my mother's AA operated point-and-shoot camera. Although I had never really thought about it, I quickly dove head first into taking photos of anything and everything that caught my eye. My mother - being my biggest supporter, had become equally as invested in my new passion and eventually got me my very first DSLR. It didn't take long before I realized that I wanted to turn my passion into something far more. I took many different art classes all throughout high school and even went on to get my small business and photography degrees. As much as I'd always been known for my drawing capabilities, photography had my heart from day one and after many years, I realized that photography was my destiny. Fast forward to early 2019 and I finally made that dream a reality by founding J Sewell Photography, and have since began working towards building a future by doing what I love the most.
